Do you guys doing patched bodywork repairs use Zintec or conventional mild steel?

The trouble with zintec is that it gives of noxious fumes when heated and doesn't do you much good at all . You need to clean off the edges of the zintec where you intend welding so not that much advantage in using it.

I always treat my metal repairs with POR15, after scotching before installing . Then a coat of primer and black gloss, makes it easy to just wash off with a power hose.
