    auto gear selecter

in my t bucket theres a rover v8 with gm180 3 speed auto box but its got a long gear selector and im wanting to get a shorter lever possibly even 1 that has the side button to press so it cant be knocked into a different gear "clumbsy kids" whilst driving.

can i use any random selector that catches my eye or does it need to be a sd1 verson??

    cheers

    chris

If you want the safety device on it I think an sd1 shifter would be an improvement as it has a button, or using a b&m ratchet shifter if you can work out how to get the cable to work with it. Many on here have, but I couldn't
