    Big Red Camaro

Here's some pics of Big Red, my all time favourite Camaro. It recently turned 200.7 mph at the Mojave mile.

    here's some recent videos.

Bit of wheelspin going on here

    Some older videos

Big Red web site, some good videos

a very impressive machine, even more so as the car still seems to retain the aero dynamics it did when it was new, not easy to punch a car through the air at 200mph plus with a flat front, cool
i want cubic inches! lots of em!!

An awesome machine.Big Red was the 1st car to break out of the pro-street or resto styles that had dominated muscle car building.
Pro-touring was born and a new level of performance was generated, with a stress on ALL aspects of performance [not just acceleration or engine power].Big Red inspired people to build muscle cars that could beat the efforts of luxury/prestige car builders not just top speed but braking handling and driver comfort, all accomplished with the added appeal of driving a classic muscle car!

Fantastic! This, and Steve greens(crashed) earlier Cortina are/were the the best cars ever for me. When Richard Gottlieb built this in '89 I think, it set a precedent that has, maybe only been surpassed in the last 5 years. Thing had a 4speed jericho trans in it which he would downshift to 3rd @150mph for the 'slight' kink-big bend-on the Silver State and other Dirt road courses etc. Thanks for posting this up,reminds me that once, there was things in existence before the Chip & Boyd trash-read 24''bling wheels on '70 Cudas.
