    Car covers?

My (small) garage is a workshop now, so my car's been living outside now for a year or so now and it's permanently damp. I'm thinking about getting a car cover to try and help. Machine Mart do these:

Sounds like it does everything I want for £40. Anyone got any experience with these?

Yup, I've used one on the POS for over 2 yearas now. It is only water resistant though ,not waterproof and it does allow it to breathe so no microblistering ( so far ) . The biggest problem with any cover is that the constant movement of the cover ,due to wind , can cause it to chafe the paint wearing it through or tearing the cover.
Certainly value for money you just need to be aware of the pitfalls of using covers.

I've got a couple of Covercraft covers. Pricey but the best I've found over many years.

I have quite an expensive one for my car. It's a breathable fabric. If it ****es down hard some moisture will get under the cover. Also if its cold, condensation will still collect under the cover. It won't keep the car 100% dry, but will help keep it drier and quite importantly clean.

They're a ******* to remove when it's frosty in the winter. Or when there's snow on top. Fortunately my chrome trim is on the edges where the cover would rub, so not an issue on this.

    Hi All,

I got my couple of covers from here

    http://www.cover-zone.com/

I got the Stormforce ones, about £150 a piece ( prices vary slightly depending on size required) so not bad when you work it out over a couple of years.

    Cheers.

    Russ.

    Yep, agree with Kev.
Had one on the Camaro for a year, some micro blisters on bonnet at first, but they have gone now??
I strapped mine down with 1" webbing straps but I will be repainting the rear corners next year as where the wind rubbed it it has burnt the paint off the corners
If you can prevent the cover from moving (hence the 1" straps) then they are good for a year, but wil be worn out after that.
