I think it's great we have two mags again and will keep buying both as long as they keep printing them, along with Hot Rod from t'other side of the pond. I don't like everything I see in either mag, but they both contain enough to interest me. Hats off to Dave ( the other one) and the SM crew for having the stones to launch a printed magazine in this day and age.

Thanks guys, its much appreciated, needless to say i am really pleased with the feature with my Pop being 40 years on the road,Julie has owned the Thames 40 years and ive had the Cortina 20 years, this year also sees the 50th aniversay of the launch of the Mk3 Cortina in 1970.
In addition to this, as if being in the aniversay souvenir edition of CC isnt exciting enough i am in there with the illustrious Al's Gasser and AL O'conner amongst others.
Thanks Dave for the feature, you did a fine job as usual
Ian

Ian, do the maths you've quoted - 40 + 40 +20 + 50
What does that equate to?
No, I haven't a clue either. But I'm glad you liked the feature

Hi Dave,as you know combining anniversary dates are never exact ,as what are the chances of them coinciding on the exact second of that minuet, hour, day ,month, year, and what value do they have ? whatever the value it can all be lost in the future ,for example the introduction of the metric year where there is no November and May is in doubt, perhaps some naughty baddie from the future travels back in time and alters the space time continuum, and even a Doctor that nobody knows can't fix this.
Even worse, numbers 40 40 20 50 were found in an ancient cave and believed to be the workings of the great Greek philosopher Nonsensicus who foretold that those numbers were co ordinates to the planet earth from an unknown planet, whose visitation would bring a space virus causing a worldwide flatulence pandemic that after one careless spark would ultimately destroy this planet .

Well that's a downer. Just been informed there no July or September issues hitting the stands.
Keep the faith folks we have the virus on the back foot!!
This is turning out to be a right old annus horriblus.

Great issue, I started buying about 1977, back then due to some of the "content" I had to hide the mags from my Mum.
If I forgot to put a mag away, she'd take out her biro and scribble all over said "content"....
Ian, I remember being blown away by the Street Rod and Machine Monthly photo of your Pop doing the gymkhana, iconic car.
Am not on the NSRA site, but loving your shopping pics too !
