    diesel in a petrol car!!

    OK I know I'm a ****....a mahoosive ****....yep I fell out of the **** tree, hit every **** branch on the way down and landed in the **** puddle....then went up for a second go!!!!

    went to the Griff do this morning then popped out in the rod to get Jay a new tent.....putting £30s worth of juice in the rod on the way........yep it was fooookin diesel....halfway through draining the petrol/diesel mix out the tank, I know I got to flush the lines and empty the carb....yep it did run because of the petrol content in the diesel....what else should I be looking out for?????

    Two more things;

    changing the fuel filter is a good idea

    and

    don't do it again!

    We must pick up half a dozen misfuelled cars everyweek so it's depressingly common.

    I will own up the other week put about two and a half gallon in the Chevy. It was very low at the time top it right up with petrol. Running it about to use it up. Smokes it bit after i put my foot down and runs on a bit when i turn it off Going to run it till it runs out then drain the last out and top up again only this time with petrol. Anything else i shoulddo its got Holley carb mechanical pump and inline filter. Ken the idiot

    Hi REDMAD,

    If you have already chose the running about route i think i would just keep topping it up (with petrol) as the petrol to diesel ratio will just keep going up, can only get better.

    Cheers.

    Russ.
