    Does anyone know how much???

Not sure if this is meant to be in another section.

I was just wondering how much it would cost for a Ford '36 rolling chassis???

As i'd really like a rat rod 36 pickup for my first rod but need to know how much im going to need to save, beg and steal, thanks all.

If you want a 36 truck, scour US Ebay, Hot Rod Hotline and the HAMB classifieds. Realistically, you are unlikely to find one in this country but don't worry about importing, there are enough of us on here who have been there, done that and got the T shirt to point you in the right direction.

    Good luck.

To be honest, you'd need to worry more about insurance costs. It's nice to have dreams, but in reality you may have to start with something a little less ambitious - like nearly all of us had to at first. Good luck.

just depends on what your looking for? if its a std chassis which is in decent condition then i would have thought anything between $2-3000 then you need to get it shipped over.

A really good rolling chassis that can be done on a budget, is suitable for loads of body styles and is readily available ?

Taxi chassis is ideal. Don't let anyone tell you it ain't any good. Nobody really looks underneath a car and if its a rat rod style you are after, what could be better.

Going rate for a complete runner needing an MOT ? Around £500.

Its just a thought and a bloody good basis for an economical rod with simple mechanicals and parts that are cheap.

Andy is right my first rod was on a Scimitar chassis and I learned so much from that build. Too many people aim too high for the first car and never finish it.

Using a doner chassis solves a lot of registration headaches ( cost)

    Cheers

    Cheers all

Well i agree that it would be far cheaper to just get a decent chassis even if it wasn't a 36.

So anybody now know how much i could get a 36 ford pickup body for and where from???

    Thanks for all the help
