    An ex pat that I rented a house from north of Escondido in CA this summer had a PA Cresta in his garage with a V8.

    I know FA Victors were sold in the US through Pontiac dealers in the fifties, I suppose Crestas were the same. I don't know if they were called Vauhalls over there or re-badged for the American market. That would be before the American side of GM released their own compacts.

    i,ve bought quite a few victors since i,ve been here both saloons & wgns they come up on ebay quite often & there are still quite a few nice ones in the bay area seen a lot of magnettes mk11 zephyrs two mk11 consul converts mk1 & mk11 cortinas are still around loads of minors in van trk & car forms still here i bought a 59 pa velox in socal back in the eighties lhd also a flat dash mk1 consul from the same guy another englishman he had a zephyr conv in the garage at the time obviously there are still a lot of jags around once awhile a 400e van pops up theres a 2dr triumph renown for sale here right now in my area they have lasted very well & mostly when you find them they are still rustfree even vauxhalls! after 30yrs here i still cant resist buyin english stuff my present addiction consists of a minor convert, mk1 jag, triumph 2000, frogeye, 64 mgb,TR4, all of which i could be persuaded to sell except the jag working a nice 59 victor still want a good 300e van & zeph/zody/consul convert RAY insf

    I was lucky to go to The Mopars in Columbus OHIO , a few years ago. Dave Billadeau and I went and had a ball , we called in at JEGS whilst we were there. We saw a MK2 Cortina in the car park on the way in.

    We got talking to one of the sales staff , who instantly realised we were from England............what he didnt know about English Fords wasnt worth knowing.....and all we wanted to talk about was Muscle cars and Drag Racing !!!!!!!!!! Still he gave us some goodies

    Not far west of Escondido is the city of Vista where I saw about a month ago a lady driving a perfect Mk1 2dr Cortina in maroon.
    There's no replacement for displacement.
