Pass Steve, no idea. I'm talking HIGH pressure as in injection style 80 PSI up and they' "don't like it up 'em" , expensive lesson I learnt on my fuel injected Pop .It's the tight clearances on the roller vanes plus fast speed of rotation on the injection pumps that causes problems. Possibly on the lower pressure the vanes rotate slow enough ( comparatively) to push the **** through?

hi guys. well i stripped the fuel system down, re-routed the pipe work, mounted the pump at the tank end, put a filter at the carb end of the pipe and swithed the igition on and fuel was pouring out, brilliant ( i thought ) hooked the fuel pipe on to the carb, swithed the ignition on again, short rattle from the pump then a light humming sound, fired up, ran the fuel out of he carb and then nothing, zilch, diddly squat. all i am getting now is a sort of intermittent (very soft) humming from the pump but no fuel pumping out, i think this suggests it nackered,oh well, back to the drawing board.....thanks again for the comments recieved ....cheers.....steve
tits or wheels, either one is gonna be expensive

i guess you have blown the fuel line through to make sure its clear of debris.
Have you cleaned out the tank?
Is there a gauze filter in the tank on the pick up pipe? These have been known to suck up onto the pipe and stop flow?

Just thinking out loud here..............might give you some ideas though

We had trouble with ours this week as well. ie if u hav seen the nags head pub pic's. completely destroyed its self! although is was pumping fuel into the globe but only abit which u would think is a block in the line. We kept trying to start it and fuel ended up filling the whole pump and sending it everywhere. Even oil was found in the bottom of the cup!!
