    Help for Heroes

I tried to organise a run to Headley Court early last year but the guy I spoke to there was not interested. I think there must be some petrolheads up there who would love us to turn up and possible take them for a spin. Has anyone got any links into Headley that could set it up? There is a lot of ground for a show field and there are loads of routes for a spin.
    Anyone?

Mark, my company have done a few contracts in Headley Court, but it was a couple of years ago now.
I'll try & dig out the file for who we used to deal with. When we were there, Clarkson & some footie blokes turned up in ferraris ect.

I'd be up for it, if I ever finish my bloody 57. Dont think a ride in a 2.3 ****box Mustang would raise many smiles !
The doors open, but the ride it aint free.

Dont know what made me think about this again, but reminded me to look into the work contact.
Can you remember who you spoke to Mark ?

Before I try and contact them or via Help for Hero's, who else would be interested in taking your car up there one day next summer ?
If we can get an idea of numbers & type of car ect, might help getting a response.
Like Mark says, we have such a mixture of cars on here, gotta be something to please everybody.

I'm up for it & assume you still are Mark, so thats 2.

Add ya name to the list.

    57peppershaker - 57 Chevy
    Mad Mark - 55 Chevy
    31ModelA - Ford Model A
    ALS57 - 57 Chevy
    Bigal - Plymouth Duster

I would be interested to go up there, not that they would want a drive in my daily , but how about raising some money then driving it up there in the rods etc, to present it to the OC of Headly Court. I'm sure if we were to organise a drive around britain (coast roads) or an Orkney to Scilly isles, something like that, just a few ideas to throw around. I can do some digging at work and see if I can get some phone numbers, contacts etc. I'm on leave this week but can do it next week when I am back in, besides might be better coming from service personel.

    Cheers,

    Stu.

If I phone the XO I will need to have a plan on what we are doing, when we are doing it and how many people involved, how much money we plan to raise etc etc etc. If we could get a plan together I will be more than happy approaching the required personel to see how we get on.

I like the sound of the county to county run, my leg would be done in 5 miles Making sure you stop off at supermarkets etc on the way to "rattle a few tins" so to say. I think that could work well.

    Cheers,

    Stu.
