I'm posting these on behalf of Keith as he's without a computer at the minute, he finally found them after having a post Christmas clear up. There's a few gaps as he isn't really one for taking photos. Keith's the one with the shiney hair cut, the other bloke's Terry Barrow.
This is pretty much how he got it, it's still on its original Consul floorpan, or what was left of it!
In this one you can cleary see the care that one of the previous owners took in removing the bulkhead.
The rear end was held in with a bit or rope, which was nice.
Sorry this one's a bit dark, there wasn't a lot of light in there, let alone space. Here it's had the floor cut & the rest of the bulkhead ready for the a chassis to be built.
There's a big jump forward, here's the rolling chassis using the original rear axle, ladder bars, front axle/suspension. The engines a Ford 390FE, chosen because it'd had one in it when Doug Ripley owned it. The rocker cover were once fitted to Bill Carters Hillbilly Express.
A front end shot.
This is it finally rolling. This is where Keiths extensive photo archive ends, he has no photos of the new floor being made, seats fitted, 'glass bonnet being added etc.
