"If it was that easy, everybody would do it"
I was always lead to believe the TUV was tough as hell and few cars made it past the 10 year old mark in Germany .There's actually figures out there on the 'net to support the fact that Brits have the oldest cars on the road compared to every other company.
I also believed that cars passed a cetain stage of rusting weren't allowed to be repaired?
REALLY surprised thta that got through such a short time ago ,surely the guy got called away and forgot where he was on the test to miss how bad that must have been even before it all split open ?
We were all a little surprised ,knowing how tuff TUV test normally is ,we also found the ali spacer in the sub frame bushes had crumbled to powder. it was an accident waiting to happen !!!

Surprised it got through a test, but not at all surprised to see rusty BMW bits. I had an '84 323i and that was like that all over!
I too thought the TUV was TUFF but im also surprised (nieve proberly) that BMW rusted as bad as that
Could it be the tester was a FRIEND ............... but with friends like that who needs enemys
Or do they just allow that thing as it was a german car in germany ????
i'd say he was more an enemy than a friend!!
but hey there woulda been 1 less b#w on the road
now just gotta get rid of the a#di drivers & everything will be ok
