London to Brighton Run 1st November

    So, who's up for it

This is NOT a car show, or a cruise.... It is the Vintage car London To Brighton run

This is great fun, thousands of people line the streets all the way to Brighton every year, cheering you on, waving at you, taking pictures.... this is a great day out.

The cars DO NOT exceed about 25 miles per hour, so it is a sloooooow cruise, if anyone is up for it we meet in Streatham at 7.0am and follow the cars down to Brighton from just after 7.30am

Here is a sneak preview for you.....

Every year this run has many classic cars joining in with fun, the 55 mile journey has many been going for over 100 years and is always a joy to be part of..........

    See you on route...............

Haven't been to this for years. I went with my Dad a few times really early in the morning to watch them start up and leave Hyde Park.

Would be cool to follow them down to Brighton

We normally meet up in Streatham, take a slow cruise with most of the first few hundred cars down to Redhill McDonald's, park up for about an hour for breakfast at McD's whilst waiting for them to catch us up ( Boy they are slow ) and then carry on the slow cruise down to Brighton...

As there is virtualy nowhere to park in Brighton on that day, we normally drive up and down a few times, then go to the little cafe with the pitch and putt green up by the marina, there is a large car park there.... we normally have lunch there ( Cheap ), play a few rounds of putting for the sheer hell of it, then have a bit of a drive about again before making the again slow ride home.

    I Love it

This is event is this weekend. It is NOT a car show, it is a very good, long day out, and a very slow cruise to Brighton with hundreds of Veteran cars

Cruise to brighton or just parked up on route, this is a great site, if you have never seen it, it is worth watching from somewhere on the A23 even if you don't fancy the cruise.

The Veteran cars leave Hyde Park at 6am on Sunday morning and arrive in Brighton around midday....

If you see me, gave me a wave, I will be there
