    Thanks for posting that - spent the last hour watching it - brilliant

    Theres some people who have really lived. One of them said she flew x76 different aircraft from trainers to fighters to bombers and with no real training on each one and never knowing what they would have to fly next. Flying with no navigation aids or radio and unless im mistaken i got the impression from that they often flew the bombers solo.
    You have to envy anyone whos flown a Spitfire, what a great thing to be able to tell your Grandchildren.

    I live about 1/2 a mile from Bletchley Park and in the summer we often get any combination of Spitfire, Hurricane or Lancaster flying very low as they do a couple of circuits of the Park whilst on their way to or from a display.
    This year the Lancaster was so low one Sunday that as it went over our garden we could see the pilots grinning and waving....absolutely spectacular moment.
