    Thought I would rekindle this old post.
    This answer to this question is probably obvious but I assume that it is best to stick to the standard 14" as opposed to 15" wheels when lowering the car ?

    70s look, My PB as is now but looking to lower next, your PC should have 5 x leafs in the rear try removing a leaf, you can always fit Monroe air ride shocks to adjust the height / ride (Ford Mustang ones fit and are not expensive ) Merc 190 coils fit the front, Jez (dig these feet) had them fitted on his PB.
    Be carefull with the fronts that they don`t bottom out .

    a mate (no names, no pack drill) lowered his dirty little minx by heating the rear springs and letting the weight of the car slowly bend them.

    I am no way endorsing this, but by **** was it low, looked well cool
