    mig gas question

hi all, just gettin stuck into my galaxie rebuild and all was going well until I ran outa gas for the mig. Have been using mig5 but all I can borrow at very short notice ( as in want to primer main body by weekend ! ) is a straight up argon as used for ali welding. Before I slep over to pick it up does any one have any idea wheather it'l work well enough for car panel work?

    thanks, Justin

When I tried using pure Argon from my TIG set for MIG welding it gave a very bright arc, but laid a pretty poor bead, the pure argon is much more expensive to refill too than Coogar/Argoshield.
