Does it have a starting handle?I went to school with a bloke who ended up working on the design team at Fords, I suspect he is still there as he was a clueless **** at school.I doubt anything has changed-I hadnt seen him since leaving school in 1980,but was at a concert at Wembly Arena in the early 90s.By total fluke ,i was having a **** and standing next to me relieving himself was said ****.
I said hello, and having not seen him for 12 yrs, politely asked him what he was up to."I am having a ****" he replied -and that was that.Never spoke again.
Like others have done...hung a familiar name on a predictable computer-generated characterless blob, in an attempt to give it some instant personality and 'heritage'.
I'm not buying it.
I loved my old Cortys...and don't forget, almost ALL cars at that time required new sills periodically, not just confined to Ford's finest.
Thats not quite true. LANCIAs needed a new body as well
built by hand NOT by computer
lol...true.
Here's one I did many years ago (3 litre Capri motor) :

The only Cortina for me is the mk1 Lotus and by modern day standards it would be nothing but a sad joke, apart from its value! But no matter how good the new Cortina is,it will never be great like the oldies![]()
So to sum up - you all love it then!
