My 57 Chevy's been insured with Aon for 20 years (lazy), they now appear to have been taken over by Footman James who in my experience always quote high.
The car's having a nut and bolt full restoration and I start to put it all back together next week. They want £162 for off road cover valued at £15000 (which was what it was valued at before taking it apart)
Two things, does this sound about the right money for off road? And, how do I stand on valuation when the value of the car in bits and new parts collected is high. I'd guess that the value when complete would be around £25K.
Would appreciate any pointers to other insurance companies from anyone in the same situation. I do have a list of the usual candidates.
