Well , this is what it looks like on paper :-

It's only a roughout to see if it is worth spending any time on , not a finished artical.
I have not looked at the angle of the steering spline out of the rack , no doubt it points straight through the top arm towers but I can probably work around that.
Need to look at wether the tower arrangement will actually fit under the wing aswell.
The 280 dimension to the underside of the chassis is not set in stone , it can go up by about 25mm or down by about 55mm.

Looks very interesting Andy, how would you plan to attach the rear set of arms to the chassis or could they be altered to be line with the chassis. Would this be as your webpage and be a bolt on unit using existing chassis mounts? Was looking at the front suspension on a TVR Grantura yesterday and was very similiar to the Lotus 7 kit car suspension, anyone got any feelings on that setup, or have actually used it. My aim is to use a 1600 crossflow engine and box and have got a escort mk1 back axle for the rear. As i said earlier nothing too radical.

Andy? Andy? Who the f*$k is Andy?

The bars at the back need to be in line with the bottom arms & pivot along a similar axis so they will need to be bracketed off of the chassis. Ideally I'd like to make it bolt in but I don't have enough information on the Pop chassis at the moment to be able to draw it up.

Sorry paul just got confused as it was Andy that originally pointed me in your direction.I presume from what you say that its not based on a double wishbone. Initial view is might have a problem with exhaust depending on how far back the brackets go. Anyone got any photos of differant front suspension fitted to pops?

It's based on the Cortina set up. Top is a wishbone , bottom is a single arm with that stay. On the origional Ford set up that arm runs forward but it is curved around the rack which is causing me problems with the narrowed versions , so I'm looking at running it backwards at the moment.
