How'd the weekend go? Well, at the moment it looks like a dolphin that's been caught in a boats propeller.
Vettes are only not Muscle in the purist definition of the term which was an Intermediate[mid size] body with the largest factory engine option[usually taken from the full size line]best examples GTO, Mercury Comet427,Malibu 396. By that definition my '68 'bird would not be muscle in the strict sense. The other thing that defined early muscle was the 'stripper' concept of leaving out every option in a fanatic quest to save weight, hence radio delete and heater delete options plus the greatest sins -feeble drums and no power steering.
In the States some vette owners get very sniffy if their 'sports' car is lumped in with 'muscle'. Its a status thing....![]()
C1 Vette as a Gasser, nah, wouldn't look right....

I think that what I have learned from this is I'm not a gasser fan,and I like my early 'vettes unmolested. You can do what you like with post Stingray model though

I thought everybody that modifies classic cars were philistines, that`s what all the purist say. I love the gasser look personally but would the oppinions have been different if it`d been pro street?
I just put it up because it`s not the sort of car you see every day, guess you either love it or hate it
