    hiya

weve all been talking about this the last few days in my posts here:

    https://www.rodsnsods.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=13044

a 32 ford truck, coupe and roadster will all fit onto to a typre of scimitar, depends on which one youve got?

been talking to gary from bay area rods (Lancelot Link) who, manufactures fibre glass bodies who has done alot of rebodying,

this is what im planning on doing when funds permit

I am putting a 41 Willys coupe on Scimitar and what i have noticed is that the wheelbase could do with being a touch shorter to fit nice.I am going to extend the front end panels to get a good tyre fit in the front arches. It would be easier to move the body forward and modify the rear arch opening, but i like the look of the tyres in the arcg as they are.
And you really need to take in account of your tyres sizes and change the shocks accordingly to make sure you dont muck up the factory steering geometry.

    Good project though.

Mark, could you not shorten the rear 4 link to move the wheelbase?
No chassis mods, so hopefully no hassle with the SS...sorry DVLA. ;-)

hi there, this is a pic of my A sedan on a scimtar chassis, rich(rodbuilder) built it years ago, i've owned it for 5/6 years, been slowly improving it as things wear out or break.
it now runs a south african 3.4 v6(the old 3ltr was getting tired and suffering from years of abuse),the old scimitar back axle gave up when i launched the car thru someones garden wall!!! oopppsss
the front end expired a couple of years ago,so chopped it of and put a beam axle on it.
the interior was getting tired too so thats gone in place are now a pair of retro stylee bucket seats
the gearbox is still holding up well, being a 4 speed manual with overdrive.
i repainted the car about 4 years ago.
its cost me a bloomin' fortune but i love the old thing
