thanks barney, but I still have to work with owners budgets,so sometimes simplicity wins over astetics

you can see how the belt bits mount on and the tabs on the top are re the rear part of the seat bolts to

and made good use of the space under.there speekers in the wooden boxes

rear end was on leave springs.to make life easier I left these on when I built the four link, then removed them once it was all finished.fitted a full stainless exhaust at the same time.
one thing ive found with jobs like this is theres always something else to do,that you don't know until you start.

on this it was the fuel tank.it sat quite close to the axle originally.when the coil overs went on the tank was in the way,so the rear crossmember had to be moved back as the tank sat up in to it,which in turn, saw the fuel inlet tube being reworked to suit

for the rear coilover top mounts there was an original crossmember/bar across the chassis, but it didn't look strong enough for the mounts.
this panel was welded to the face of it,then the ends into the main rails to spread the loads.the holes were there to weld through

had a few bits to do on this truck.first of it sat to low,so couldn't get full lock on the wheels.well you could but you had to put to much pressure into the bags.above what they were rated to.
easy fix was a couple of spacers to sit under the bags.had two thicknesses made so can play around to see whats best.
these and a different set of rims with a different backspace, and smaller diameter tyres should sort it out

next up ,linling up handbrake.always struggle to work out how to do this.one of cables are expensive and using u clamps is ok,but look untidy.

found these fittings which I believe are for balistrading.
anyways makes fitting the cable simple and you can adjust it

had to raise the bed to clear the diff at full drop.
also had to change the spacings on the bed as the outer strips needed to go where the tubs are.this now has one less board than standard.the outer boards are a different width to the inners so they could be cut round the tubs

and making the end plates and lower valance
