I know a club who are happy with coeval mods, I'll try to remember to PM you later, just off out the door now.
All other crossmembers still there.Moved one under removable floor pans back by about 2 inches but still looks the same.Widened both removable floor pans same amount to suit.
new engine mounts, old ones removed.
thats it i think?
In that case, by the letter of the DVLA rules, and IF they chose to inspect it AND the owners club on the V765 list don't verify the chassis as stock ( which they won't cos they HATE rodders !) then it's not entitled to its original reg.
If the chassis wasn't modified then there are enough points to retain original id . Application of the DVLA Swansea rules may vary with individual Local Offices.
PM me if you want a number to chat it through,
It doesn't have to be verified by the sidevalve owners club.....I can get verification done through the pre-67 Ford owners club and they are a bit more Rod friendly.....
If you need a letter from them , give me a shout...I am a member and therefore they'll do it for me for £25.......

You have a PM.
Ok I think i'm getting this, My A40 Devon panel van on a pick up chassis retains the pick up reg. But how about my CF van, it has stock running gear, no changes to the body BUT if I put air bag suspension on it would it get a Q plate ? ............................... Dave.
If the fitting of air bags can be done without altering the monococque and only bolt in suspension mods then it would still be within the 8 points system ie 5 points for original unmodified chassis, 2 points original steering , 2 points for front and rear axles ( as a pair not each) .
You would only receive a Q ( if you didn't have enough points ) after the van had been through a SVA (Goods ) test.
