    Vauxhall firenza

Hello there been offered a firenza coupe deluxe
Has anyone had dealings with 1 , good bad , what v8 and manual box are easy to fit , any idea if the rear axle could cope , and what brake upgrades
I'm only considering this as local , but would be nice to hear what others think ?
    Cheers all

Consider a small block Chevy - the Firenza was produced in South Africa with this engine!

Lovely motor the Firenza, and very rare now.

Back in the day me and my brother put a rover/auto and jag rear in a 2 door HC viva which is the same floorpan, Plenty of room in the engine bay but I think bulkhead and tunnel mods are gonna be required whatever you fit.

The 2.3 front brakes are quite hefty so should cope ok with most things and the 2,3 rear axle would be ok for, say, a mild rover.

I am sure there should be plenty of google info available on V8 conversions for this car.

Interesting project if you get it

You have far too many projects already, you should let me have that one to put at the back of my list of far too many projects! was working at a Vauxhall / Bedford dealership back in the day when they were current cars, loved them then and the same now. I remember the brand new droop snoot Firenza in our salesroom with with it's amazing new technology...5 speed gearbox " When would you ever need a 5th gear ?" LOL
