my previous camaro used a mini rack, my present one runs an escort/capri rack, as for the LHD bit, you can flip the rack upside down (depending on whether you have "front steer" or "rear steer" stub axles/struts)
As my cars were already built when i bought them, i dont know whether they were narrowed or not, but i don't have any issues with them.
I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE,AND SO DOES CHUCK!

The rack needs to be sized to your suspension and also located up /down to give correct geometry.

any manual rack can be narrowed.
bigist problem is getting uj,s to fit certain types.
escort 2/cortina seam to be used a lot but are getting harder to find and seam expensive if youre gonna exchange for a new one.
ive started using sierras as there 40 notes new with no exchange and have an easy mount system and simple to narrow.outa casing is ally though compared to the steel outers of older cars

Running an Escort rack on my Cuda, although its now back to front, as still running L/Hand drive. I modified shortened my rack, joined with slash cut good fit tube, more weld area. I am also running High angular rose rod ends.

Most racks will do the job, bump steer is all down to how you set them up, not the type of rack

im not disagreeing with you kev but this link is a minimum requirement you can have the nuckles closer than you think as a
vauxhall astra ? (i think) has a bulkhead mounted rack that has the nuckles only a couple of inches apart from the centre of the car
it's just a question of will it work with the space available
