Hey NoJive55, full feature on Leon's '55 runs to 4 full pages & I dont think this thread is the right place for it so here is the spec page.
It was an awsome sight on the circuit & would cream the Mini's/Cortina's etc on the straights then have to back off for the corners letting them all catch up again! Limiting factor was the period Dunlop rubber that it had to run by all accounts.

Good memory Battersea Boys ! Don't know where it came from I will ask, guess Leon would have been about 20 when he bought it. He did some run what you brungs then I think a lifter broke up or the camshaft grenaded & the rebuild to its current guise came from that.
Will scan the whole article tomorrow if no one objects then.

We sold it to a guy named Julian Dyer - I believe Leon got it from him... I don't think we bought it back, it was up in Hertfordshire.

I'm racking my brains to think where we found it... Actually we got it for the guy that ended up with Halls' black '55... He thought it needed to much work if memory serves!

Stew you may well be right as I did'nt get to see it until Leon had owned it a while, he was living in Watford at the time so it seems to fit that he was the second owner, I just assumed that he the first.
