    57 carpet incident.

After spending best part of the day fitting new carpet in my car and getting it looking pretty reasonable a mate has come 'round and managed to knock a lamp over burning a ****ing great hole in it.

Very unlikely I know but has any one got a new black carpet for a 57 two door sedan they want to sell?

    Thanks Paul.

How gutting...I have only just put the carpet in mine so I'd be really ****ed if it got damaged. Email Ciadella interiors, they were very good with me. I had to order an extra seat back piece of carpet for my Nomad from them and they were great. You may not need to buy the whole set, unless you've got a moulded one.

    Hope you get it sorted

Tony's referring to my having to pull my rear axle apart to replace my wheel bearings and the number of times I had to get replacement parts for my load space carpet from Ciadella. I ordered the boot carpet to come whipped so that I didn't have to spend £1000 on the loadspace stainless. The carpet came unwhipped so they gave it to me for free. Then I went to fit the parts to the seat backs and found they had given me two cushion backs and no backrest carpet back. They were very good and sent me the right part at no cost- even though they had not charged me for the unwhipped parts in the first place.

I still haven't managed to persuade them to give me a refund on the headliner that was too short though as I have lost the receipt. Fortunately I had a spare! It came with the complete interior kit I bought from them.

Now that it's all done it looks pretty good though. I just need to save up for the loadspace brightwork.

    Cheers
