Thanks Steve
which box has overdrive
I am wondering here if I had the choice of any is that the one would it be worth going for overdrive
A mate of mine may be going to the states and if we can get a box we will put it in the boot of the car he may be getting
All a bit if and buts I know but at some point he will be getting a car from there
Mick
700R4 is one of the overdrive boxes but they need the tv cable setting up correctly to avoid problems.
Really Mick you need to know exactly what you want from the car and then base the box around that.
As I am doing now really going to shows have a bit of fun
not planning on racing just using it
Sounds like the 350 would do as you said
So if theres one out there for sale!!
off to work now got to be there at 8
I'm changing to a 700r4, if you decide go for the latest you can 87-89 as these have had strength the upgrades, there's a chap on here selling them at a good price as rebuildable's.
The chap on here is Adey in Walsall and there about £175 they could last long time or not ,he's says to get them rebuilt ,to have most boxes stripped and reconed I'm being quoted about a grand ,that's th400,th350 ,700r4.May best to buy 1 that you can check being used in a car.
Mick
Depends what you wanna do / use your 57. I went with a 700r4 because I plan on driving the wheels off the 'kin thing when its finally finished
Dont take much for tanks of extra gas to equal the difference between a 3 & 4 speed.
Many thanks for the advice everyone
Easy now all I have to do is get the money together and find a box
