A million happy memories, what a lucky guy I am to have had such good friends all the way through. The 'after the Beer Tent' photo really sums it up. Thanks Bob, every week you brighten up my life with photos that include some of the cars and people that influenced my in such a good way.
The late great Mick Cooke was as talented a guy you could meet, his Camaro was totally self built and painted. Compare any facet of it to the other cars around in 1976. Micks enthusiasm shifted in the early eighties to his other great passion, Coy Carp. Mick being Mick built fabulous ponds and his fish were as you would expect, the best.
The nights me and Sue spent with Mick and Maria and Bob and Jan were fabulous and funny and the view of them three old Chevs parked together, priceless.
I have just cleared out our junk room and found not another fuel injection but 4 super eight spools of film, one of them is marked 'Chevys I979'. I have never owned a movie camera (well I can't remember), I think Mick probably took them.
Just noticed that in pics 3,4,5 and 6 I am in the passenger seat with a broomstick with a pin on the end. It was at Gary's Picnic we won the balloon bursting competition, me hanging out the window with the stick and Mick driving like madman shouting 'mind the paint'. Happy days.
    Rog.

    Lovely old photos Bob,

Great memories of the camaro, espcially for me at knebworth.

It was also great to see the car again at "worthing sunny sunday" this year, still looking sooooo good, a real time warp and a credit to its current owner for the work hes done to keep it as it was and as it should be.

I have a projector can copy but Nick from Time Travel is the man to do it. He will look after them carefully as well Rog. I thought that was a cine camera Mick was holding in one of the pictures Bob.
