Mikey, a chap (English guy) phoned from France yesterday, wants to drive it home and then drive it to Denmark! Whilst I would never advise doing things like that, it is the sort of daft road trip I would do myself, A man after my own heart!

ah, just because I havent driven it enough miles to be sure of long distance running mate, and because I'll feel responsible and feel like **** if it doesn't make it, even though the chap is very much on the ball and understands all that, just the way I am. When the elderly chap flew in from Spain to drive my '63 Chevy truck home, my heart was in my mouth, but he made it no probs, and I'd only driven that one 30 miles, so had no idea if it would make it or not. I have put about 400 miles on the '48 Chevy van though, and myself, I would actually tackle that run, but I always carry tools, etc with me. I've driven my '57 BelAir for about 40,000 miles now and would jump in it tomorrow and drive to southern Europe without a second thought, but still with the tools, spare wheel, etc.

thaks Ray, haven't heard from him so far, could do with moving this on before I get too attached to it, never had an old panel van that can go round "S" bends at high speeds like this can
