1958 chevy biscayne with v5c in my name offers over £900 ?

    1958 Chevy Biscayne.

1st registration in the uk 1992. no of former keepers 4 since april 1992. non transferable number plate

Well, log book is in my name and I got the vehicle last year (October) from Huddersfied. From a great chap who couldnt scrap it. (metal scrap merchant) what you see is all you get.

I got the vehicle for the 235ci engine and powerglide box, + taken a few other things off the car for my project. With also the view that maybe I would put it back on the road sadly times just to short.

The car from what I can understand came over to the uk and was in turn re trimed and painted. The storage for the vehicle was behind a row of houses and a lock up / garage of some sort. Now the storage area had a fire, and the car must have been fairly close and was in turn pushed out into the street behind the houses and sat there ever since? Some 7-10 years from what I can understand, the scrap guy was called in to remove it. But having some soul! Couldn’t weigh it in.

That’s when I step in. now the engine. I changed the points. And hit the button. Started and runs.? Ive a key for the car which seams to fit all ok.

The car was is full of rubbish…like to the windows…ive cleared out most of it..with only one foot well being full…! Of (dog crap)! Bags of it!!..i got ride of loads !!

The body is all considered mainly solid and I can send any photos to help, the front wings have taken a bashing, but think this also has been made worse by the fire damage.? 3 tyres hold air, one don’t. some dents and fiber glass at the rear? Chrome is bashed a little, if not broken

The floor pans all hold water so no holes.!!.but on lifting the carpet set found by giving it a good push with a screw driver it went threw. The sills are all quite good.

Im looking for offers over £900.00.The brake are free ish…but you will need a low trailer and a winch to get it moving. I can send photos to help anyone understand what its like. The front and rear axel are from what I understand original. The log book is all good and the vin plate is still on the fire wall.

There is no exhaust, prop is still in place, but ive taken / disconnected it from the rear axil

The car can be view with arrangement in Cambridge, Monday – Friday 9-4 with no problem, othe time by arrangement. The vehicle must be collected within two weeks as need it out the way. Im looking for an easy sale.

    Pm me your offers.

    Cheers Dan

Its kinda shame that this car is valued (by you) at £900 but yet, if we were restoring one and needed a dash and that stainless trim round the rain gutter, we'd be paying a $1000 for the stuff to be shipped from the states!!! Its madness, weve had a '60 gullwing Impala in our yard for 12months now and havnt sold anything more than some 14" wheels off it!! Go figure! GLWS.
