    1964 Corvair convertible for sale

For sale is my 1964 corvair convertible.
reason for sale is need the space to finish off other projects (my 63 C10)
when I purchased the car a few years back it needed the usual oil leaks sorting and the interior and roof were tired.
Since then I have I have restored everything except the paint and trim.
there is a large file and detailed history on the car and it has done less than 10,000 miles since import in 97, the odometer is reading less than 45000 miles.
in my ownership I have stripped everything that needs attention and either replaced or rebuilt it.
the list of work I have done is as follows:
    new convertible top
convertible mechanism has been fully rebuilt and blasted coated (this is the electric/hydraulic roof model)
all new roof seals (a small fortune for them)
new from seats and full interior (the door cards are not my finest work and the mount pins show on the material so bear this in mind)
new seat belts (converted to 3 point belt system)
    new brakes
    new brake master cylinder
    new balljoints and wheel bearings
    new shock absorbers
new rear coils springs (2" lower and uprated)
    new wheels
    new tyres
    new clutch cable
    new clutch and flywheel
    new starter motor
    pertronix 2 ignitor
    new ht cap and leads
    new spark plugs
new fuel lines for E10 fuel
both carbs rebuilt with all new jets, seals (E10 viton seals)
    new fuel pump

the engine and transmission was stripped to rebuild all the seals and to inspect for any wear and replace as required, this resulted in a replacement rebuilt transaxle, full engine strip down and rebuilt with FELPRO gaskets (engine was not split as internal inspections identified the cross hatching on bores was still present!
during the engine removal the entire rear subframe was removed and blasted recoated as was all the engine tinwork and engine bay (using Upol raptor)
car has been lowered all round by 2" and has the transverse leaf suspension so all the Ralph Nader concerns don't apply to this model!

loads of history file with the car and all bills and previous mots etc.
Might be interested in a PX up or down pre 1970 (that doesn't require internal storage or if has to be stored inside can be picked up with a forklift and stored on a mezzanine like my 2 VX220s)

There is Zero rust on the body work under the car
the aluminium trim and front/rear bumpers are not show quality and would require multiple small dings fixing and re-chroming to be as such.
the paint has a few areas that require touch up (couple of small chips/scratches) and the drivers wing has a few small blisters and the bonnet is not the best but only if you look at a car like I do (critical eye)
the door felts and door seals are showing signs of age too
send me a PM if you want more information.

advertised on here for 2 weeks before going on ebay.

Hi Ray. The fairlane is the one you sent over.
Thats a keeper and due for a few transmission steering and suspension tweaks over the winter. Then it gets handed over to my sons.
    Cheers for the message.

The corvair sold today for £9k, buyer is well happy with it and owns an early model auto too.
