I'm looking to open my own garage shortly and need some cash input, hence reason for sale. If it doesn't sell I won't be gutted but it would help right now. It's been sat in my friends workshop for the last 6 months, and should have had the body fitted up by now and floors made, but things haven't gone to plan unfortunately.
The frame was custom built by Coltech Classics in September of last year. It has a 17.5" kickup in the rear with a 9" Ford axle, panhard rod, ladder bars and brand new Carrera QA1 Coilovers and a suicide perch front with '49 Ford F1 front beam (thinned down) and F1 brakes (all rebuilt plus new king pins), new Pete and Jakes style lo-boy shocks, curtis style radius rods and Ford Pop leaf spring. The frame is set up for an SBC and GM transmission. Brake pedal is fitted with a brand new Wilwood master cylinder and fluid resevoir.
Body is fibreglass and comes with dash, deck lid, cowl, grill shell and insert. Headlights are new reproduction '34 commercial. Tail lights are new reproduction '50 Olds.
Motor is a 305ci SBC (bought with intention rebuilding), heads are '56 265ci Corvette Powerpack, inlet manifold is a polished dual plane item and carb is Edelbrock 600cfm. Transmission is GM TH350 complete with full rebuild kit. Fuel tank is a new large capacity spun aluminium item.
Wheels are new Gennie Bare's, 15x5 fronts and 15x8 rears. Complete with excellent 550/15 and L78/15 whitewall crossplys. Complete with new '41 Ford centres.
The engineering thats gone into the chassis needs to be seen to be appreciated. Calculations were done for geometry, so this will actually drive well.
This will make a very impressive rod once completed and I am sad to see it go. I will probably shed a tear when I see it leave, as this is the car I've always dreamt of has to go.
The asking price is £4000 as it stands.
