'48 Chevy 3100 Panel Van 350/350 Camaro clip

I was going to do a few little things to this before selling it, but a health issue has cropped up and I need to get some trucks advertised for sale as they are in case I have to go to hospital.
This '48 Chevy van is a fresh import and I'm waiting for the C386 to come so I can regsiter it. All duties have been paid.
It has a superbly fitted and sweet running sbc V8 350 and Th 350, all working well. I took it for a short run up the docks and it really does want to burn the tyres off - it goes well and corners well too. Twin exhaust sounds really good. Brakes work exceptionally well but the handbrake needs adjusted. It needs one wiper arm hooked up to the electric motor and a new clip put on to hold it. I can't kneel down to get to it right now. Headlights will need changed over to left dipping, but all lights work. Paint is pants, been done years ago suffered from laquer peel on the roof and somebody took to sorting out some issues and has primered parts of it. Mostly looks like a flat back and repaint. Passenger door window is cracked, I have one coming next week. Door interior panels are off but a brand new pair with frames are here to fit to it. Seats are like new, don't know what they are from. I don't like the lights in the back doors, and if you don't you could always weld up the holes if you're going to paint it.
I haven't even got it out the garage to take pics yet so the pics here are from the American side. I'll take some as soon as I get mobile again.
You can always phone me for a chat, or e-mail me for more details and pics (when I get them).
Jim on 07593 187939, [email protected] Asking price is £12500 or best offer. Would prefer a cash deal but might take a very cheap part ex, but given my health issue just now, it is better for me to reduce what's here rather than taking trades. It's a great van you can improve your own way wiht all the hard work done and proven over a few years.

just had a quick look at it the other day mate, it's boxed and mostly original with the Camaro crossmember welded in. Quite a neat job, though I've seen neater welds but it's strong and a neat cut/fit job. It was done a few years ago so it's strong, though I was going to grind the top surfaces of some of the wleds and re-weld to make them neater. Not needed, just me..................

yeah forgot to mention that lot Ray, wife was shouting to me for dinner when I was doing the ad! The compressor for the air is in the back of the van, not hooked up yet. All the gauges work though part of the speedo needle is broken off, but easy to see what speed you are doing. The floor has been painted hammerite satin black since these pics were taken. I'm still unwell so might no get any of the wee jobs done today as planned.

Problem with you guys up at the wet/cold end of the country is that nothing is really seen as "odd" up there.

Hope you are on the recovery route.

went in today Rian, took the van for another "spin" scared the **** out of the guy in the next shed trying to get him weaned off VWs and into a yank. Got on not too bad, so going in again tomorrow to fix the wipers and I'll change the headlights if I still have a pair on the shelf. C386 came today so will register it on Wednesday before i go back to the doc in case he's not happy with what he sees and sends me to the hospital.
