    modified minor convetible

1968 Ford X-Flow powered Morris Minor Convertible

I bought the car in 2002 as a complete wreck and with family members gave it a full nut and bolt restoration. during which it was given new:
    • Engine bay floor
    • Front inner wings and arches
    • Front chassis rails
    • Complete inner, outer and under sills
    • Full 'A' posts
    • Outer and under door bottoms
    • 'B' post bottoms
    • Boot lid bottom
    • Boot floor
    • Rear body bottom
    • 'Tubbed' rear inner arches
    • Fibre glass front wings and bumper valance
    • Steel rear wings
    • Extended door bottoms to loose the 'tacky' stainless steel sill trim
    • Flat engine bay bulkhead which is wiring loom and batery free
    • All new panels were purchased from Bull Motif Morris Minor Spares
    • Car has had u full waxoyl treatment
The car has been given a number of modifications, both body and mechanical
    • Ford 1300 cross flow engine with electronic ignition/distributer conversion. Engine rebuilt 3 years ago
    • Standard 4 speed box
    • Full custom made box section ridged rear chassis
    • Nissan Micra servo assisted dual circuit front and rear disk brakes and pedal box
    • Ford Escort front disk brake conversion
    • Ford Anglia 105e rear axle with Ford Sierra XR4i disk brake conversion
    • Stainless steel braded hoses
    • Front and rear shock absorber conversion
    • Fiat Tipo radiator with manual electic fan
    • Modern handbrake with Ford Capri cables
    • Custom made exhaust system with silencer and twin pipe split
    • Battery cut off key
    • Additional oil and temp guages installed on dashboard
    • Cobra Drag Slot wheels 7'' x 14'' on rear with new Cooper Cobra tyres 225/70/14
    • Drag Slot wheels 13'' on front with good Firestone tyres 155/80/13
A complete new interior was installed using a new red Morris Minor carpet set. The door and rear interior panels have been finished with a home made 'tuck n roll' effect.
Classic style bucket seats are fitted with 3 point seatbelts, also may i add, the car is now a 2 seater but a rear seat could always be fitted with modification to allow for the tubbed rear arches.
I can honestly say that the only things letting the car down is the hood and un-upholstered boot.. The hood is what was on the car when i bought it in 2002 and looks like it has been on 20 years prior. The hood frame is chipped and scratched and the hood drips in when saturated. Fortunatly the car hasnt seen too much rain, only showers that have caught me out. The rest rest of the car is immaculate it has to be said.
Due to an engine change, the milage on the clock is no longer accurate. At a guess, i recon the car has covered around 20k since engine rebuild. A specialist speedo cable is needed to get the counter working with it being a Ford gear box. One company i know does this is Speedy Cables in the london area
Over the 6 years of use ive had out of the car, it has purely been spring and summer time use only. NEVER used in winter and always been garage stored.
This is a very, very regrettable sale due to me moving abroard.

    £3500

If there are any questions or would like to view the car please ring me on 07941482761 (Daniel)
