i've decided to sell my dad's wedding car as it doesn't get used and it's just not my cup of tea.
it's based on a 70's sherpa chassis etc correctly registered on a Q plate. ot's fitted with a 4.0 litre rolls engine from a 4.0 r vanden plas and it has the matching silky smooth automatic gearbox. my dad and me built this for him in the late 80's/early 90's and it was his 'toy' from then on. he did a few weddings for friends and family over the years but mostly just used it for days out. it has 20" wheels from a vintage (20's) london bus that also supplied the handbrake lever. we made the main body tub from timber and fibreglass, with the wings, running boards, bonnet and grill made from thick steel plate. the instruments and switches are from a '55 daimler conquest giving a suitably vintage look. it's a big car, measuring 7' 4" to the top of the roof and has great presence out on the road. it will comfortable cruise at the 70mph legal speed limit keeping up with modern traffic easily. it has a gm electric power steering column added to ease parking with the big 20" wheels and the column is topped with a ford model t steering wheel.
my dad passed away 10 years ago now and i don't use it like he did which is a shame as it needs to be used and be seen out and about. if it doesn't sell i intend to make a new slightly more modern (20's/30's) style roadster body for it as that's more my thing and keep it.
any questions just ask as i know the car inside out.
£18,000 or deal why. just ask.
ps i can get a delivery price if it helps.
