i have put so much work into this jeep because i love it. ive had some fat cars over the years but this thing is such a grin even before the engine conversion it was fun but bloody slow and aweful on fuel. now with the chevy it should get much better mileage and five times the power of the old engine. we have relocated to the south coast and the jeep is still in scotland unfortunatly we dont have the space here to have all the toys so i think its time to let her go. its moted and on the button but needs a couple of fettling jobs to fully sort.
the dipstick is missing. easily available but will need a bit of ingenuity to get it past the exhast manifold.
the fan belt just skimms the bottom hose. i have a pulley to convert the belt to serpentine and theres enough adjustment in the mounts to pull the alternator forward to make this work.see pics.
i dont know if the fuel gauge is working as i only had a gallon in the tank to get it running so not enough to regeister the gauge. it probably does work i just think its worth mentioning.
the front prop has a broken bolt in the yoke. i have the bolt but never had the time to sort it.
