    ProLaminates 34 chassis

    Morning all,

longshot, but does anyone have a prolaminates 34 chassis for sale? It's the one they did that uses MX5 components.

    Thanks

    Andy

Thought they didn't go ahead with the concept after building the first ? There's a standard 34 chassis ( new) that I know of for sale if thta's any good? £1500

I concur, the concept was sold as an unfinished project and don't think they continued with the idea.
Have you asked them how many they built? You could be looking for something that doesn't even exist.

You may be better getting someone to knock you up a chassis.

Mx5 stuff is fairly straightforward to mount.

I've done a Volvo with ms running gear on a simple chassis.

Mx 5 are quite wide.did the pro laminates one have narrowed axles
    Rod/custom/drag build profiles:
    Mini | Pop | Porker | Trike | Morris 8

    | 48 chevy coupe | ford f100 | tube chassis,d pop

    Morning all, thanks for replies.

One was for sale recently which is where I saw the chassis, so there's at least 2. I almost had a good deal on just the chassis but it fell through. I've sent prolaminates and MNR (who built the chassis) emails to see what I can get hold of.
Original (and default) plan was to use the subframes and build my own chassis. Track is quite narrow- 1415 to 1440mm. About the same as a Scimitar I think. The later MX5s were wider.

Kapri, it's actually for the 31 Austin- so I have the original chassis. It's just that the 34 prolaminates looked like I could work with it. Better job than I could do, and worth the tradeoff of cash vs my time.

both 112 inch. Mx is quite a bit shorter. Track will work out ok with a bit more inset on the wheels. That might mean messing with the geometry on the front suspension a little.

Yep, that's the one I'd seen a few weeks back that inspired me. Don't need the body or donor and it's unlikely he'll seperate it at the moment. Thanks.
