It is a one day show. Saturday and Monday are just for setting things up and taking them down. There are usually over 3,000 vehicles but there has been a bit of a drop over the past couple of years because of bad weather.
Wanted! Back issues of Street Machine, American Car World/American Car and Classic American. Please PM.

'Badges? We don't need no stinkin' badges!'
i think but am not 100% sure that the pick up was built & owned by nick arrlet after selling porky 47 dont know the year but custom car mag were judging. i normally do the pageant but not this year. for the last 2 years the cutom car & hotrod stand as been moved to the hayes lane corner were all the water collects and is like a mud bath.
Dead right it was Nick Arlett. I started to think that after asking but wasn't sure. Think the pick up was a lot nicer than Porky.
I got best of show for the custom/hotrod section with my Merc now I think about it.
I went to Hayes school near Normans park.
Is Dillinger's Hamburger place open opposite some ancient pub maybe ye olde george or something.
My mum used to take us strawberry picking on a farm next to the pub.
This was all about 35-40 years ago when the sun used to shine after we'd moved south from Merseyside
Dont lie neil....the sun has never been shining over bromley, even the "new" downham tavern has been closed and boarded up now. Everything is gone, just like desoto's
One word can say so much.....BLOWN
TICKETS ARE IN....SO WILL RING YOU 10 FOR YOU TO PICK UP ...
