Retro Rides Weekender, Goodwood, 5-6th September
***NEW DATE, SEE THREAD TITLE***
I'm pleased to see that the latest word from Retro Rides is that its weekender is still set for 11-12th July, which will probably make it the first show of the summer. For those who haven't been, the RR Weekender is a nice informal show where pretty much anything goes as long as it was built before 1998. As well as a static car show, the Weekender lets drivers complete laps of the Goodwood track and take part in an autosolo test.
Every year, the event includes curated displays in the three paddocks, which this year are as follows:
- Classic Touring Car Racing Championship cars
- It Was Alright in the '80s (for bodykitted Astras and Polos, Countachs, Testarossas, New Wave Volkswagens, etc.)
- Stock vs. Custom display

Sadly, with the new dates, I'll not be there, since it clashes with Wheels Day, the Beaulieu Autojumble, Brighton Speed Trials, Concours of Elegance and lots of other good things.

The judge says five or ten but I say double that again, I'm not working for the clampdown
No man born with a living soul can be working for the clampdown
