A run to Brighton, Sunday September 6th.

A few of us from Surrey / South London are having a run to Brighton on Sunday September 6th.

The first meeting point will be at Costa Coffee (old Little Chef ) on the A23 Brighton Road, just before the junction with the M23 heading south, this will be to leave at 2pm.

For those that will be coming from the M25 the next meeting point will be at the Pease Pottage services on the M23, leaving there at 3pm.
We can then all cruise to Brighton from there in convoy, once in Brighton you can then do your own thing, but no being silly please,

If when arriving at Brighton you turn left I've been told there is a McDonald with a car park at the Marina or If you turn right there used to be a Dinner along there, not sure If it's still there, someone must know.

It's only a few weeks away so let me know what you think, this is a cruise to Brighton not a show or a meet.

This is open to all American cars, Rods, Custom and Classics.

    Thanks, Derek.

Can someone please post this on the NSRA.

    VERY LONG answer !

Hi 440 , there is a Mc.Crappies in Brighton marina , it has a couple of speed bumps and the car park isnt huge !
option 2 ! as you drive down into marina , stay in the right hand lane , is the entrance to the free multi-storey car park , but then ya have to drive down 3 levels to get out ! sounds brill , but STEEP ramps.
option 3 ! at the bottom of marina road , turn left into Asda car park , HUGE ! some spaces under the slip road , so cool in the shade , BUT ( always a "but" .......) you have to pay-n-dislay , if ya shop in asda you get ya parking money back !
Marina has Lotsa pubs + eateries !
The diner is in Hove ,on the coast road ,www.woodiesdiner,
but parking can be ,err , ! difficult

Ive organised some rods n yanks , for this sunday to add to a local bike fest , I will see if I can get some kars to meet up with ya !
Shout if ya want more info !

Maybe just turn right and head towards Woodies Diner, doesn't seem to be much interet though, even though some people moan about not getting their cars out enough. I've had 10 emails so far form people that say they are going.

    hi del
im up 4 it. i can bring the usual crowd of sarf london revelers for a trip to the seaside. im all for a cruise, not a drag race though. I like the idea of stopping at different points. why not go A23 through redhill/mearstram, then thru to gatwick and up to the next junction to pease pottage services to meet any others then continue to cruise to brighton and after following the main road down to the sea. turn left , go past all the pubs and hotels and park up in the marina golf on the left. the food is very good and cheap for those that like cheap days out. then maybe cruise around or enjoy a few holes its up to you. we quite often do that route and then just drive about putting hugh smiles on the publics faces. and the plod are ok too if you dont start doin burnouts everywhere.
One word can say so much.....BLOWN

You may not be getting too much rod response as it clashes with the NSRA pre 49 day.

It is always manic when the trials are on.... better when you can acually park up and have a bite to eat or a bit of fun with your buddys at the crazy golf / putting green and NOT have to worry about your car, not only that... I am busy the week after.
