Hi, I have a 1956 Austin A90 Westminster, unrestored but pretty good condition and very solid. The straight 6 has been modified with twin SU's and exhaust from a Healey plus it has a 4 on the floor, also thought to be ex-Healey. Other than banded steelies and lower profile tyres it looks standard. Until recently it ran really well but coinciding with oiled plugs I have been offered a Rover V8 and auto box out of an SD1 - so I'm thinking about updating the Westie the way BL should have updated the Healey and add a couple more cylinders.
Rules and regulations in Queensland are very different to those I had to meet in Essex 20 years ago when I put a V8 in my swb Land Rover so this could be an extended project (I hate red tape for the sake of red tape!) but any guidance from anyone else who has but the Rover lump into a Cambridge or Westminster would be appreciated.
