As many are, the whole registration/historic plate/8 point system confuses the hell out of me, so I thought I'd ask for some advice...
I'm getting close to finishing my 53 F100 and have decided a Y block would be nice.
I have a 272 for rebuild but it has a heavy duty 3 speed box on it. H

Having the usual problems on my F100 with bonnet fit.
Forward tilt kits are available but buying one is way beyond my budget.
So I want to make one. It looks pretty simple but a few dimensions would be a great help - no point re-inventing one if the basic info can be found.
If any kind person...
I've got a 272 in bits with no gearbox. I'd like to use it in my truck. Before I rebuild it I need to find a box.
Anyone know of one? I need a flywheel and clutch as well.
If you've got a good motor I'd consider that as well.
Thanks in advance for any help.
