Wanted a pair of flowmaster mufflers 2 1/2" inlet and outlet pipes.

Anything considered.

A bloke on Ebay sells Thrush mufflers cheap and they sound much better than Flowmasters.

flowmasters sound more 'racecar' whereas the thrush (turbo mufflers) sound more 'smooth' or 'sweet'. anyone got a better description?

i have said Thrush Mufflers on my Mustang and believe me they are very loud! mine are 3 inch and there isnt one bit of silencing in them, they just have chambers, i used to run the car with turbo mufflers on and the sound was ok, the tickover was nice and smooth but now with the Thrush ones on it sounds like it has a roller cam in it! :tup:

yeah but i hate marmite and the wife loves it. basically you have to hear both and decide for yourself. flowmasters do sound best though, neil.

Cheers Neil thanks for the advice. I'm the Kev that you did the manifolds for me on my 56 Caddy a few years back, hope your well. I like your Coronet wish i had more room, 3 wont fit in my garage.
