Can't recommend an Optimate enough , used them for years for bike batteries but they worked equaly well keeping the big-bugger-battery on my '60 Caddy healthy . You can leave them plugged in all the time and they'll never overcharge , they use a cycle that mimics the way a battery would be charged by an alternator . Not the cheapest (About 40 quid on Ebay) , but can't fault them ;-)
