V12 ETYPE auto box and torque converter!

I have just come to put the converter on the box and the two locating tabs on the converter where it mates with the pump I expected to see two recesses in the pump to locate the converter

Instead I just see two small tabs on the pump. So when I put the converter on it turns 100 degrees before turning the pump. Is that right??

Its never plain sailing!!!

Yes I have it apart now! I just thought the two locating pegs, on the converter, has they went into the pump, fitted snuggley in to two resses's within the pump. If you have a look I would appreciate it thanks

That's how they are. It was designed so you could put the converter and bellhousing on the engine first, then put the trans on the bellhousing afterwards.
