Hi all,
I believe I need a spacer to locate between the crank on my RV8 and the flexi plate on the autobox.
Any around please ?

Which autobox are you using? If it's BW35/65/66 then the spacer is about 11/16" thick and I should have one somewhere. There is also a special washer that goes under the boltheads, and the bolts are different to the manual ones.

Hi,
will check but am sure it is a BW .
I am sure I have the bolt washer -has 6 holes offset
(not uniform spacing)
How do the bolts differ please ?

I feel like a newbie -which way round for the flexi-plate -anyone please ?
T.C. seems to foul when the protruding bosses are facing externally but then
does not line up when reversed and still fouls slightly ??
The gearbox end on the T.C. does not appear to have anywhere to locate to ??
Do I have the wrong T.C. ??

The crank bolts are offset so the flexplate will only fit one way around, so if you haven't removed the ring gear then whatever way the bolt holes for the crank line up is the right way around. The converter should have two tangs that drive the oil pump in the front of the box. If you think you might have a mis-match of parts (ie wrong converter or flexplate) if you can post up some pics of what you have I should be able to tell you.

Hi,
apologies for this -I considered myself quite knowledgeable up until now.
Many thanks -yes, it is obviously offset, that's not the problem. I did manage to align them very quickly.
The flexi has 4 protruding bosses on one side -do I bolt up through those (then the bolts supplied are too short)
or from the remaining 4 holes in which case the bosses foul and don't allow access to them unless the bosses are on the outside.
(already considering going manual !!!)
Also, I can't see what the 2 tangs are supposed to engage with in the box ??

If possible I'd like to see a pic of the flexplate as I can't quite get my head around the bosses you're talking about. That doesn't sound like a BW35/65 flexplate, unless it's one that's been modified.

Hopefully this link should take you to a pic of the flexplate you should be using.

You have to look down into the front of the box past the front seal, and you should see two slots that the two tangs on the converter fit into.
