This thread is dedicated to the Spirit of the 50's, the iconic cars from the past and anyone who had a yank, a rod or Kustom car that was featured on TV or in a Pop video.

Sadly, this video also shows Colin's 59 burnt out in the underground garage scene not that long after the 1st video above was filmed

So, Colins 59 went over a cliff. And I thought it got set on fire.
Sadly it did get set on fire, but what a great ending to that shite video it would have been if they had of edited into the final cut, it happened not long after the video was done, and I think it still hadn't been released for general veiwing at the time.

Strangely, it was still about untill just a few years ago, despite being written off many many years ago...... Damn shame, thats another 59 Eldo gone to the big old Cadillac knackers yard. :sniff:

Philby, Burgess And Maclean TV film

My 1950 chevy was spayed up to look like a taxi
It was black and they sprayed the bonnet boot and doors yellow
and payed me £400 quid in about 1975
it was a Granada TV film and only on screen for about 20 seconds
I told them to leave the yellow paint on it HA HA
