i`ve got a snap on or mac version Ian and they are fine on up to 18swg steel but shite on alluminium of any thickness, i still tend to use my 30 year old gilbow snips most of the time.

buy a decent set of gilbows and learn to use them properly forget the air thing

happy with mine, iv got the shears and nibler, i bought a pair of am~tech and they were absolute rubbish after my third set i had my money back and bought the clarke, my mate use,s he's most days and there pretty good for the price:tup:

They're an ace tool and cut neatly with no distortion, but like Russ I'd use manual shears/ gilbows on aluminium.
