not sure if right section but anyone know of an available computer program that could be used to do sheet metal work of awkward shapes.
looking for something that will unfold an item so it can be printed out and used as a template.
can find them for curves and im pretty sure ducting/ventilation
ones only cover four sided shapes.
looking for one that would do 5 or 6 or more.
just done this working it out on paper but took me for ever to do

thats not that expensive.
recon i wasted that money in time staring at the thing getting more and more confused.
quite simple if the shapes only went up but as they go out two ways it really was a head [email protected]

theres and english version off the one you posted.does all the complecated like rounds to square, but again not 6 sided things.

Unigraphics and Solidworks can definitely do what you want Wayne, but they are both obscenely expensive if you want legit copies. Solidworks is the most common one of those two in industry. Autocad and 3D Studio Max can do sheet metalwork so at a guess they might be able to too. Lots and lots of online tutorials for 3D Studio Max, which is a bonus.
